Send Money to Brazil from the U.S. — Fast, Simple and Secure with Inter

For many Brazilians living in the United States, sending money to Brazil isn’t occasional — it’s part of everyday financial life.

It might be helping family, paying expenses, investing, or simply managing responsibilities in two countries. But traditional international wire transfers can feel slow, bureaucratic, and filled with details you don’t use in your daily life.

With Inter, you can send money from the U.S. to Brazil directly through the Inter app — using the recipient’s PIX key. All without needing traditional bank details.

International transfers don’t need to be a hassle

If you’ve ever sent an international wire through a traditional bank, you know the process can involve several detailed steps and pieces of information that aren’t part of your everyday financial routine. Instead of a quick and intuitive flow, the experience often feels technical and document-heavy. In many cases, you may need to:

  • Ask for the full bank name
  • Get the SWIFT/BIC code
  • Provide branch (agency) and account numbers
  • Wait without clear tracking or status updates
  • Pay transfer fees, sometimes without full visibility upfront

How Inter makes sending to Brazil simpler

Traditional international transfers can feel like you’re stepping into a different system — more forms, more codes, more waiting. Inter takes a different approach, bringing everything into one straightforward app experience.

Through the Inter app, you can send money in a simpler way:

  • Funds are sent directly inside the app
  • Dollars are converted to Brazilian reais within the platform
  • No transfer fee when sent from your available account balance
  • Transfer to Brazil using the recipient’s registered PIX key
  • Real-time tracking
  • 70% of orders processed in under 1 hour*

*Processing times may vary depending on destination and banking networks.

For Brazilians used to PIX, that familiarity makes a difference. Sending money home doesn’t feel like dealing with an international system — it feels closer to what you already know.

Send to Brazil using a PIX key — Step by Step

Inter allows you to send money to Brazil using the recipient’s registered PIX key as the destination identifier.

Here’s how:

Step 1: Open the Inter Super App.

Step 2: Select “Send Money” and enter the amount in U.S. dollars.

Step 3: Enter the recipient’s PIX key (chave PIX) — this can be a CPF, email, phone number, or random key.

Step 4 :Review the exchange details and confirm the transfer.

The funds are converted to BRL and delivered to the recipient’s linked account in Brazil.

No SWIFT codes.

No long bank forms.

No unnecessary steps.

Inter vs. Traditional international wire transfers

When choosing how to send money internationally, the differences can be significant. Here’s how the experience compares:

*Processing times may vary depending on destination and banking networks.

Real experiences from Brazilians in the U.S.

For many Brazilians managing life between two countries, familiarity, speed, and trust matter.

Eloan, who has lived in the U.S. for 10 years, used Inter to send support during a critical moment back home:

“Even after 20 years without speaking, I didn’t hesitate. I was able to send the money quickly and help when it truly mattered.”

In another story, Camila, who moved to the U.S. for her daughter’s medical treatment, highlighted the importance of reliability:

“Being able to send money fast and know exactly when it arrived gave me peace of mind during a very difficult time.”

Across stories, speed, clarity, and ease of use consistently stand out — especially for those supporting loved ones from abroad.

Built for cross-border life

Living in the U.S. doesn’t mean disconnecting financially from Brazil.

Whether you are supporting family members, paying for services back home, managing investments, or simply moving funds between countries, Inter helps make that process faster, simpler, and more transparent.

Because sending money internationally shouldn’t feel more complicated than sending it domestically.

Manage money across borders — Without the complexity

If you’re a Brazilian living in the United States and need to send money to Brazil, Inter connects your U.S. dollars to Brazil in a way that feels familiar.

  • Fast
  • Clear.
  • Secure.

All inside the Inter app.
