  • Why is Inter&Co Securities migrating their clearing broker to DriveWealth?

-Inter&Co Securities evaluated several clearing brokers, and we have decided to move from Apex Clearing to DriveWealth, as they will allow us to effectively grow as a firm.

  • How will the migration impact my Inter brokerage account?

-If you would like to continue using Inter&Co Securities, you do not need to take any action with your brokerage account. For the month immediately following the transition to DriveWealth, you will receive two account statements. The first will be from Apex and the second will be from DriveWealth.

-You will be given the opportunity to opt out of the migration, as described further below.

  • Will trading be halted during the migration?

-Yes, there will be a trading halt (freeze) for 2-business days during the migration. Customers will not be able to trade on Friday July 11th, 2025 h and Monday July 14th, 2025. Trading will resume on Tuesday July 15th, 2025.

  • Are there any fees associated with this migration?

-No, there are no fees or charges for this migration.

  • How can I opt-out of the migration?

-Written instructions to opt-out must be sent to securities_optout@inter.co.

-If you choose to ACAT (transfer) your position to another brokerage, we must receive all required documentation by July 1, 2025. If you choose to sell your securities in your investments account, all sell trades (liquidations) must be placed and executed prior to US market close on July 8, 2025 and all cash balances must be withdrawn by 3:00PM ET on July 10th, 2025.

  • What is the last day that I can trade prior to the 2-day trading halt?

-Customers can continue regular trading during US market hours until market close on July 10th, 2025. Trading will be frozen on July 11th and July 14th to help facilitate this migration.

  • When will trading resume at DriveWealth?

-Trading will resume on Tuesday July 15th, 2025 at US market open.

  • If I do not want my positions to move to DriveWealth, what are my options?

-There are two (2) options if you choose not to move your positions to DriveWealth. Please note the respective deadlines for each of the options.

  1. You may choose to sell the securities in your account and withdraw the funds to your linked bank account. All liquidation (sell) trades must be placed and executed prior to US market close on July 8, 2025 and all cash must be withdrawn from your Inter US Investments Account by 3:00PM ET on July 10, 2025. Please note that liquidating your account may have tax consequences. We recommend that you consult with a tax professional before proceeding.
  2. You may choose to transfer your account to a different brokerage firm. To do this, you will need to initiate an ACAT transfer by contacting the receiving broker. Fees normally associated with an outgoing ACAT will be covered by Inter&Co Securities during this period. Please note that all ACAT requests must be submitted with all required documentation to Inter prior to July 3, 2025. After that date ACATs cannot be facilitated at Apex, but ACATs can be processed at DriveWealth beginning July 15, 2025. Fees for all ACATs will be waived at DriveWealth until July 31, 2025, after that date ACAT fees are $65.
  • What is the last day that I can submit my outgoing ACAT (transfer) instructions?

-All outgoing ACAT requests must be submitted to Inter (Apex Clearing) with all required documentation by July 1st, 2025.

  • If I choose to liquidate (sell) all my securities/positions, what is the deadline to complete this?

-You may choose to sell the securities in your account and withdraw the funds to your linked bank account. All liquidation (sell) trades must be placed and executed prior to US market close on July 8, 2025 and all cash must be withdrawn from your Inter US Investments account by 3:00PM ET on July 10, 2025.

  • Are there any tax implications if I choose to liquidate my positions?

-Please note that liquidating your account may have tax consequences. We recommend that you consult with a tax professional before proceeding.
